  • The MGNREGA Act was passed in 2005 with the aim of guaranteeing at least 100 days of work annually to rural households in a ‘right-to-work’ format.

The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is a Government of India initiative, launched on 25th December 2000. The objective of this scheme is to connect villages to main markets, healthcare, and educational institutions through all-weather roads. Road construction is funded jointly by the central and state governments, and regular monitoring is conducted to ensure quality.
  • “Apale Sarkar” is the digital portal of the Government of Maharashtra, launched to provide citizens with access to various government services online.
  • Through this portal, applications can be made for caste, residence, income, and other certificates, and various government schemes, licenses, and registration-related services can be accessed from home.
 
  • Laadki Bahin Yojna
  • The Government of Maharashtra announced this scheme on 28th June 2024.
  • Objective: To provide women in the state with financial independence, improved health and nutrition, a decisive role in the family, and overall empowerment.
  • A provision has been made to provide beneficiaries Rs. 1,500/- per month through the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) method.
  •  The Swachh Bharat Mission is an ambitious initiative of the Government of India, launched on 2nd October 2014.
  • In rural areas, special emphasis is given to toilet construction, waste management, and awareness about cleanliness, while in urban areas, the focus is on segregating waste and promoting recycling.
  • This scheme has increased awareness about cleanliness and health.
